Saturday Morning Walk

Another Saturday morning walk....Darling was sick for the past few days. Mummy brought darling to the park nearby to enjoy the morning breeze. It has been extremely windy these few days and you can hear the howling sound if you were to close your windows at home! Extremely windy.

So it was a good day to do a morning walk!

LOL...darling doing the MJ's moonwalk...

Is darling going to eat the flower? Nehhh just trying to blow the petals off...

Enjoying the scenery...

Will do more of such walks during weekends...
We went to Swensens @ Chinatown for our dinner. Took some pics there...

Bye Bye Pacificer

Finally it's decided. We are all geared towards one goal before the end of 2009. That is: To get rid of pacifier!

Mummy and aunty Ruby have been discussing on how to activate this move! When is the right time? What to use? Bittergound, lime, chilli sauce, chilli padi? And what if Darling cannot get used to it? What if darling cry very badly? What if...

Lots of What If is going through their minds...But on 3rd December, they decided to carry out the plan. WITH CHILLI PADI! With just one try, darling cried the hell out of it. But after that, NO NEED PACIFICER anymore!!!!!! Amazing!

Darling went to bed on Thursday, Friday and today without asking for pacifier! Unbelievable! Chilli padi really works! LOL...

So today, mummy decided to let darling throw away the pacifier myself.

Bye bye paci!

Darling throw?

Bye paci, thanks for being with me for nearly 2 years! I am now a big girl and I dont need you anymore! Bye.....

That's end our relationship! So sad! But I am sure I am able to cope with it and move on.

This is the chilli padi that mummy used! In case there are babies out there trying to kick off paci habit, use THIS!

First Sentence

Do you like raining days? I know my mummy does, at least she loves the rain that was pouring today. Heee....

It was raining very heavily outside when mummy came back home. When she opened the door, I ran up to her and said, "Rain Rain Go Away"....Mummy was shocked!!!! That is the first sentence that darling has spoken with so many words in it. Usually was a 2 words sentence, but this time round, it was 4 words in a row. Mummy was thrilled and kept asking darling to repeat non-stop. Hahah...

Dolled up

Mummy has nothing to do, so decided to doll up her darling. And I looked like this:

Atlantis City @ Lower Delta

Mummy heard about this Atlantis City @ Lower Delta from one of her gfs. Mummy decided to give it a try.

The place is pretty clean and safe for kids. It is abit small and not much climbing areas for kids. But overall, it is worthwhile to visit this place as the charges is only $5 per hour.

Darling loves the ballpit alot. Didnt want to get out of it...LOL...

Chipmunk

What will u say when u see this? It's a chipmunk towel that mummy bought for darling. When she came back home with this, I shouted "munk"...before mummy can tell me that this is a chipmunk. Mummy was surprised...

Next, I blurt out "big eyes". Mummy was thrilled and lost for words. She has been spending each day with darling but she couldnt believe how fast her little darling is progressing, and at such an incredible speed!

Mummy, daddy and I setup this tiny xmas tree. We put some pressies "under" the tree and mummy said i can only open this on xmas eve. LOL...we shall see if darling can resist the temptation. Darling had already opened one pressie from mummy's friend.

And I am wearing the romper auntie Sharyn gave me. It has been so long since I wore onesies. There are no more rompers in my wardrobe and it's nice to add one to it now...

Playing with mummy's iphone...

Smile mummy!

Busy Busy Busy Busy

(A) Busy Schedule

Do not know what is the right word to describe the state that mummy is in now! She is extremely busy for the past few weeks...and dont think she will be free until xmas!

We had a few events for the past weeks...we had Yiyi's Sweet 16 Birthday, JG's Xmas Party and Dec 07 Babies Birthday Bash. For each of the events, mummy had alot of preparation work to do. From sourcing for presents, DIY pressies, to DIY darling's outfits for each events. On top of that, mummy had to handle Figolicious orders as well.

Busy busy busy....Another 5 upcoming events:

1. Darling's Birthday Party @ Childcare
2. Darling's Birthday Party with families
3. Darling's lunar Birthday
4. Ah ma's Birthday Party
5. Xmas Party

Lots of things to prepare especially the 1 event. Mummy is going to DIY pressies for the kids @ the Odyssey. Hopefully they will love the pressies I am going to give them. Heeee...

(B) New Words

Despite the busy schedule, mummy has to prepare my daily home activities. Darling is now able to say more words compared to few weeks back. And my favourite words now is "Hide and Seek". It's now one of our routine bedtime activities. We will read books and sing nursery rhymes first, followed by Hide and Seek. That's when Ruby finished up washing her dishes and join us for the game. LOL....

(C) Addressing People

And now, I am able to call lots of people. Mammi and daddy is pretty easy now. And I have managed to call Yiyi, Gong Gong and Ah Ma. Recently, I have been calling Ruby as B. I will call for her when I woke up in the morning. Bbbbbbbbbbb....She is loving it...Sometimes when I wet my bed, I will go "Wuahhhhh, Mammi, ai yoooo yoooooo"
Hahahahaha...

(D) Opposites

Focus for the month of November was Opposites. And darling is now able to differiate between:

1. Small vs Big
2. Hot vs Cold
3. Wet vs Dry
4. Long vs Short
5. More vs Less (still learning)

Mummy is extremely happy with darling's progress so far. Each child progresses at differently. Thus, no need to compare and move on. Enjoy each moments and count your blessings!

I wonder...

Scene 1:

What will you do when you see a tear on a stuff toy? Needle and thread? Well, the first thing that came to darling's mind was to bring out my doctor's kit and give barney a checkup.

LOL...we were playing with barney when darling noticed a hole on barney's back.

Darling: "Oh nooooo....holeeeeeee".
Mummy: "So how? Barney pain pain?"
Darling: *walk away and return with her doctor's kit. Out came the stethoscope, syringe, thermometer, medicine*
Mummy: *stunned*

Guess kids of my age really do things that is beyond explaination. Another incident to share:

Scene 2:

My wardrobe has several levels:
Level 1 is where I put my home clothes and
Level 2 is for my school uniform and hanky.

One day, I opened my wardrobe doors, I noticed something amiss when I saw my hanky at level 1. I quickly moved my hanky back to level 2 and closed the wardrobe doors. My mummy was dumbfolded seeing this act. Have you ever wonder how a 22 months old kid an be so fussy???? LOL...

1st School Excursion

Darling's first excursion to Sentosa was quite a memorable one; more for mummy i think. From the time she signed the consent form, to the day that I was sent to school, she has been worrying sick. LOL...

Let me tell you the preparation work that she did. She put a luggage tag on my backpack. This luggage tag has my name on it, and mummy's handphone number. Hahaha, she was worried that darling might get lost in Sentosa.

In my backpack, we have a small snack pack, insect repellent, sunblock, raincoat and an Odyssey hat. Quite a lot of things right? My mummy ensures her darling's needs are all taken care of. Heee...

Picture took by teachers..

Mummy fetched darling from school today. Mummy get to see how cute darling was dozing off on the bus. With backpack on my back, water bottle sling across my shoulders, seat belt fasten, darling was rocking from side to side. The moment I saw mummy, I went "wuahhhhhh"....LOL....

Word of the day - Wall

Darling has picked up lots of words since a couple of months back. I am able to say these words:

No
Ang = Yes
Eat
Go
Egg
More
There
Book
Fan
Cup
Up
Pack = Bagpack
Leg
Bra
Bra = Umbrella

Hat
Bao Bao = Carrying
Na = Banana
No more
Oh no
Yeah
Hug
Sit
Floor
Hold
Eeee = Please
One more
Eat
Star
Are

(LOL, mummy lost count liao)

Anyway, every time mummy heard a new word of the day, she will go..."WOW...darling is so clever, my girl is so smart...mummy love love..."

See, I can even recite her lines...LOL....that's my mummy. Not too sure if CC helps or it is time that darling starts to say a word or two, but I guess it is a happy moment for us all, daddy, mummy, me and aunty ruby when a new word pops up.

As you know, we have daily home activities. From Letter of the week, numbers, hands-eyes coordination, patterns, opposites, etc...to water play/sandplay/painting...

Tonight, we had a camping theme, so we "pitched" a tent in my bedroom and played with touchlight. I asked mummy to shine the light on the WALL. It was the first time mummy heard this. Impressed, excited and surprised was she. Yelling and screaming and hugging with joy as usual. LOL...

Can't wait to master the ability to make sentences. I think alot of people are waiting patiently for this moment to arrive..

Car Wash

What a better way to teach your kid about car wash by washing his/her toycar?
Mummy was feeling slightly better today. So we had a role play game where mummy was driving her car up to the carwash station. Darling will be washing her car...

We need sponge and soapy water ...First, soak your sponge with lots of soapy water...

Next, you wash the car seat...

Followed by the back wheels...

And then, front wheels...

When you are done, use clean water to spray off the soap...

Give it a thorough wash...and then u're done....

Mummy bought darling a new swimsuit...time to hit the poool....LOL....not the pool yet...

Yesterday, we were playing the sorting land animals and sea animals. To make the game more real, mummy created blue sea for darling...

Sharks belong in the blue ocean...

Nicole had a fall!

Boooo hoooo...darling had a great fall at childcare today. At around 1045am, mummy received a call from Teacher Monica to learn about darling's fall. Mummy was so panicky and worried. Luckily, mummy was resting at home these 2 days, as she has fallen sick (caught the flu bug from darling). Immediately, she rushed to the school to take a look at darling.

Ohhhh noooo...there were bruises on my right eyebrow...mummy was furiously mad...She learnt that darling has slipped while climbing up the stairs at the playground. So much for having a 1:4 teacher: student ratio. Accidents like this still happened.

So poor thing. Hope darling recovered soon.

Sea Animals or Land Animals??

It is never too early to teach kids about things. Mummy taught darling about land and sea animals. After 2 rounds of practise, darling already knows that Dinos are land animals and sharks are sea creatures.

It was fun and I requested mummy to do 2nd round.

Of course, there were times when I hestitated and pondered for awhile. Mummy assisted darling along the way.

Nice game...mummies out there should try too...

My Happy Family Dollhouse

While I was having my dinner, daddy came back home with something for darling. It's a dollhouse....

Yeah, my very first dollhouse...

Cant wait to play with mummy...
